I usually take a break when guests are eating and come back for the speeches which always provide opportunities for some great candid pictures. I normally have to use flash to be sure of getting pictures in what are often poorly lit reception venues but the guests are generally concentrating on the speeches so the pictures are truly candid despite the flash.
